regret is a fallacy
scribed through false prophets
to indoctrinate the meek

holy scriptures strangle hope
like fallen angels who elope

Doubt

We lie awake

Hopes and dreams

Cloud a fragile mind

We fall asleep

Dreams fulfilled of doubt

Heartless

his soul

was

on the page

his spirit

bled

those words

words she tore

to shreds

without care

Abandoned

abandonment flows
in a river of deceit.
autumn leaves set sail,
conceding defeat.

turtles lay their eggs
not intending a return.
fortune favours the bold,
meek are of no concern.

Broken

freedom,
like love,
is conditional.

peace,
like war,
is traditional.

heaven,
like hell,
is transitional.

death,
like birth,
is volitional.

Moment

There’s
A moment when
You
Realise
You haven’t
Got the
Strength
Or
Will
To do it
On your
Own

sometimes its good
being an all-or-nothing kind of guy;
sometimes its not.
