To Man; From Ant

What do you think about when you
Cut the tree
Can you not feel the pain and the
Homeless misery
What do you think about when you
Look your son in the eye
Do you picture him in a world where
Everything has died

How does it feel to be a puppet
On a string
Where your opinions do not
Mean a thing
Who do you pray too before you
Close your eyes at night
You couldn’t share this world so don’t
Expect another life

~ there is still time if you care ~
~ there is still time if you share ~

You were given this beautiful world
To share with all life
So why don’t the trees and animals
Have the same rights
It seems those seven deadly sins
Corrupted all
So I’ll just sit here and smoke my pipe
While I watch you fall

About Stayne

Welcome to my page and thank you so much for stopping by. I feel honoured to share some of your precious time. These are just a collection of thoughts that have popped into my head and I have managed to store here. I am hoping that one day I will find the time and inspiration to return to these thoughts to edit and craft poems out of them...ah maybe one day.
