Unnamed

like the addict
i remain absent
in awe of its volatile deception
          my innocence haunts me
          relieving like the plague

patient in its planning
true stategist of war
it remains close

    lingering
      scheming
        singing

hiding in the wall
stains, sheltered by a scarce
few unlit corners amidst the valley

aroma; acidic, astringent
       it conforms the senses
                                 like paralysis

~ sulphuric burning hair ~

romantising the sonnets
i penned to honour that
goetic maiden voyage

     the time it stole faith
     the time it stole hope
     the time it stole trust

               this dark shadow
                    replayed in hd
                         every other night
                              ~ -- ~
                                   ~ -- ~
                                        kadarchi

alternating versed secrets
scriptures of spirit children

the rest remain hidden -
          surpressed
          enslaved with possibility

laundered off shore -
          trekking through mazes
          evading the taxman

generously reliable
     wife
     lover
     mentor

it bestows a peculiar
          sense of comfort
          conceeding to guilt

~ like opium it warms my soul ~

About Stayne

Welcome to my page and thank you so much for stopping by. I feel honoured to share some of your precious time. These are just a collection of thoughts that have popped into my head and I have managed to store here. I am hoping that one day I will find the time and inspiration to return to these thoughts to edit and craft poems out of them...ah maybe one day.
